This role will be responsible for supporting the soiree henzo community, along with our gallery brand, Denote Gallery.


Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Part-time Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth both in-person at art exhibitions and online. Your mission will be to forge genuine connections with clients and prospective clients, share the stories behind our artists' work, and facilitate sales transactions that support our gallery's mission and the artists we represent.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with exhibition visitors in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information about the artwork and artists on display. You will act as an encyclopedia of knowledge

  • Actively promote and sell artwork, leveraging your understanding of their tastes and preferences to make personalized recommendations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, art enthusiasts, and potential clients, both in-person and through online (predominantly email) channels

  • Manage sales transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience for our clients

  • Collaborate with the gallery team to implement sales strategies and initiatives that drive top-line revenue growth

  • Stay informed about current trends in the art market and maintain a deep understanding of our artists' work to effectively communicate their value to potential buyers

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the art or luxury goods industry

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for building relationships and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate the value of artwork and engage clients effectively

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth

  • Tech-savvy with experience using online platforms for sales and marketing purposes.We use Shopify as our P.O.S. system / online gallery shop

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Genuine passion for art and supporting contemporary artists+creators, with a deep appreciation for creative expression and individuality

This role will be instrumental in expanding our network of sponsors, forging brand and business partnerships, and supporting the production of our art exhibitions. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who shares our values, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a genuine love for art and creative endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators aligned with Gallery Henzo's mission and values.

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to initiate and nurture relationships with prospective sponsors and partners.

  • Assist in the negotiation and implementation of sponsorship agreements and partnership arrangements.

  • Collaborate with the founding team to create tailored proposals and presentations for potential sponsors and partners.

  • Support the coordination and execution of events, exhibitions, and special projects, leveraging partnerships to enhance the gallery's offerings.

  • Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations.

  • Provide administrative support as needed, including maintaining databases, tracking correspondence, and managing documents related to business development activities

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for art and creativity, with a genuine interest in supporting emerging artists and cultural initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, experience with CRM software is a plus.
